A free, ready-to-run Dyslexia Awareness Week 2026 resource for primary schools, combining a full assembly or lesson presentation with a hands-on follow-up activity. Together they help learners aged 5 to 11 understand what dyslexia is and how to support classmates who learn differently.
The presentation introduces dyslexia in clear, age-appropriate terms, including how common it is, what it can affect, and the strengths often seen in dyslexic thinking, such as problem solving and seeing the big picture. A true or false quiz and a real-life discussion scenario lead into the my everyday toolkit activity, where learners choose or design tools that help them learn, communicate, get organised or feel confident, then share and compare as a class.
