草莓传媒鈥檚 statement in response to the Children鈥檚 Commissioner鈥檚 School Census report聽

The Children's Commission have launched their school census report which you can read in full

鈥淭he Children鈥檚 Commissioner鈥檚 report finds that more than half of primary schools said the experiences and progress of children with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP) or on SEN support were among their biggest concerns. Sadly, this tallies with what we hear every day from dyslexic children, young people and parents across the country.聽

The current system simply isn鈥檛 working 鈥� the 30-percentage point GCSE attainment gap for dyslexic pupils is clear evidence of that. We are delighted that Dame Rachel De Souza is echoing our call to put SEN support on a statutory footing, so that every child gets the support to thrive. And we call on the Government to act quickly on her findings.鈥�
