We’re inviting organisations to tender for the provision of a trusted, easy-to-use dyslexia screening tool for adults.
Many adults go through life without ever being told they might be dyslexic. Our aim is to work with one or more providers to change that, helping adults recognise the signs of dyslexia and take a clear first step towards understanding themselves better, whether that means accessing helpful information and support, or moving on to a full diagnostic assessment.
As the national charity for dyslexia, this tender forms part of our wider commitment to raising awareness, encouraging early identification, and making sure people with dyslexia can get the support they need at every stage of life, in education, at work, and beyond.
We're looking for a screening tool that gives people a clear, honest picture of their results in a way that's simple to understand, and that helps them feel confident about what to do next. It should be quick and straightforward to complete, work well for people with different needs, and be backed by solid research so people can trust the result.
We anticipate the screener may be used by:
- Adults who suspect they may be dyslexic
- Employers and workplace wellbeing teams
- Universities and colleges
- Careers and employability services
- Jobcentre Plus and employment support providers
- Healthcare and support organisations
- Individuals seeking guidance before pursuing a full diagnostic Ìý

Working together
As a charity, the BDA relies on income from services, grants and donations to keep delivering support for people with dyslexia. We're looking to establish a signposting arrangement that recognises the value of reciprocal referrals, for example through donations reflecting the relationship or reduced prices for customers referred via the BDA.
In return, successful partners will benefit from association with the BDA's trusted brand and reach, including referrals and opportunities to raise awareness through our website and social media.
