Andrew Cave
Andrew Cave has spent more than 25 years working across business, politics and civil society in the UK and Europe, advising leaders and organisations on complex policy, communications and public affairs challenges. Alongside his executive career, he has held a number of non-executive and advisory roles supporting charities and purpose-led organisations.
Andrew's commitment to the ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ is deeply personal. Growing up with dyslexia, he was fortunate that a small number of teachers and mentors recognised strengths that others had overlooked and gave him opportunities that changed the course of his life. Their belief in his potential shaped both his career and his outlook.
Having worked closely with entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout his career, Andrew has seen first-hand how often creativity, resilience and innovative thinking are found in people whose talents do not always fit traditional educational models. He believes people should be recognised for what they can do, rather than defined by what they find difficult.
Andrew strongly believes in the BDA's work helping children, young people and adults with dyslexia to understand their strengths, build confidence and fulfil their potential.
