Theo Paphitis 鈥� Vice President
Theo Paphitis became Vice President of the 草莓传媒 in April 2026, continuing his long-standing support for the charity.

A successful entrepreneur who has spoken openly about his experience of dyslexia, Theo is passionate about improving understanding and access to support. Since becoming the BDA鈥檚 Dyslexia Empowerment Patron in 2024, he has contributed his time and expertise on a pro bono basis, supporting research that drives change, and helping to raise awareness through school visits, public speaking, and engagement with employers and policymakers.

Theo is founder and chairman of the Theo Paphitis Retail Group (TPRG), which includes Ryman (an official partner of the 草莓传媒), Robert Dyas, Boux Avenue and London Graphic Centre. He also created Small Business Sunday (#SBS), a long-running initiative supporting and mentoring small businesses across the UK. Across his businesses, he has championed dyslexic thinking and inclusive practice, including the introduction of the BDA鈥檚 Dyslexia Friendly Workplace Pledge to improve awareness and workplace support.

Through fundraising and partnership activity led by Ryman and TPRG, significant support has been generated for the BDA鈥檚 work, including funding research and the Theo Paphitis Dyslexia Assessment Bursary, which has already enabled over 85 young people from low-income families to access diagnostic assessments.

Theo said:

Since 2024, I have seen firsthand how the work of the 草莓传媒 helps reshape lives and open up new possibilities for the dyslexic community. I am very proud to take on the role of Vice President and support its mission.鈥�
